Verizon MMS Maintenance Aug 5, 09:00-15:00 EDT
There will be carrier-side maintenance to MMS services on the Verizon network occurring in three stages on three different days:

- July 29th, 2020 from 9:00am ET to 3:00pm ET
- July 30th, 2020 from 9:00am ET to 3:00pm ET
- August 5th, 2020 from 9:00am ET to 3:00pm ET

Verizon has reported that no impact to services is expected during this maintenance window. Additionally, bear in mind that as this is a carrier-side maintenance, there will be no impact to Aerialink services such as the portal or API.

Resolved - Toll-free SMS delivery to Verizon will incur new surcharges beginning September 1st, 2020. This fee will be reflected on your October 2020 invoice.

These terminating (MT) surcharges are as follows:

• $0.0025 USD per terminating (MT) SMS

This fee will be passed through in its entirety at the rate charged to Aerialink with no additional upcharge.

Resolved - Effective September 1st, 2020, U.S. carrier Interop will increase its existing outbound short code SMS fee from $0.0015 USD to $0.0025 USD. This rate applies industry-wide and Aerialink is passing this fee through to you at the same rate charged to Aerialink.

Resolved - A2P best practices and regulations help us reach consumers effectively while protecting their right to consent. This is why, in addition to complying with legal guidelines such as the FCC TCPA, all Aerialink customers sending A2P traffic must comply with CTIA and carrier guidelines to ensure best deliverability and end-user satisfaction. All content providers should familiarize themselves with CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices guidelines section 5 (Non-Consumer (A2P) Best Practices), as well as pay close attention to the guidelines provided on Aerialink Documentation regarding use-case, content and other aspects of messaging campaigns.

Scheduled - ClearSky is planning to update their iCODE software library beginning July 23rd, 2020 at 5:00am EDT and ending at 7:00am EDT. This maintenance may result in a brief loss of connectivity with the ClearSky network. Messages sent during any downtime will be queued for delivery once connectivity is restored.

This is a carrier-side maintenance which will not affect uptime of Aerialink platform portal or API.

During this maintenance window, a thirty-minute disruption period is expected which may result in delays in outbound and inbound traffic, including DLR. Messages will be queued carrier-side during this time when necessary.

As mentioned, this is carrier-side maintenance and will not impact the uptime of Aerialink services such as the portal or API.
