Resolved - As of December 1st, 2018, new surcharge fees will be implemented for messages originating from numbers which are not mobile wireless subscribers and terminating to Canadian carriers. These changes will be reflected on your January 1st, 2019 Aerialink invoice.

These new terminating (MT) surcharges are as follows:

• $0.008 USD per terminating SMS
• $0.012 USD per terminating MMS

This new surcharge comes as a result of some carriers deeming traffic from non-wireless subscriber numbers as A2P – a sign of ongoing changes in Canadian carrier business policies as they begin to alter their approach toward A2P traffic. We are hopeful that this change indicates that Canadian carriers are taking steps toward full adoption of A2P traffic, and we will continue to monitor Canadian stance toward A2P as it develops further.

Surcharge fees applicable as of the current month can be found on Aerialink Documentation ( https://docs.aerialink.net/industry-fees/messaging-fees/#1-Originated-Number-Surcharges ). Please keep in mind that the new fees listed above will not appear on this page until December 1st.

Resolved - We have confirmed through monitoring that API and SMPP interface issues have been resolved and the queue is emptying as-expected.

Update - Engineering has implemented a solution and messages are routing. The API and SMPP interface issues have been resolved. We're monitoring the system while we clear the backlog of queued messages.
